Returning Students--Online Registration Open July 19

Student RegistrationExciting news!! Returning students get to do most of their registration paperwork online this year! 

Parents/guardians, you will need to go to the new Ascender ParentPortal ( follow the instructions on this document. English instructions    Spanish instructions

Transfer students…..if you are a returning transfer student, you will need to turn in your transfer application before doing your online registration. More information for transfer students and the registration packet can be found by clicking here.

New in-district students….you will need to report in person to the school August 2–6 to discuss/complete your enrollment. For a list of required documents for enrollment, please click here.

JH and HS—In addition to what is posted on the school supply list, individual teachers will tell students specifically what they need the first day/week of class, but basics like notebook paper, pens/pencils, composition books, folders, etc. are generally needed.

Picture Day

Mark Your Calendars—Tuesday, August 31st is School Picture Day

Fall school pictures will be taken for all students and staff on Tuesday, Auguster 31st. Flyers will be sent home with the students the week before. Pictures can be purchased online prior to picture day, ordered the day of pictures, or can be ordered when proof come back.

In addition to school pictures, we will also be taking fall sports pictures. Those will include HS & JH volleyball, HS & JH football, HS & JH cheer, and HS & JH cross country. Individual and team photos of all participating athletes will be taken. As with the fall school pictures, flyers will be sent home the week before and those pictures can be purchased online prior to picture day, ordered the day of pictures, or can be ordered when proof come in a few weeks later.

Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) provides food benefits to families with enrolled students (up to 21 years of age) who temporarily lost access to free or reduced-price school meals for the 2020–2021 school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stop Bullying/Cyberbullying

StopIt Bullying LinkIn compliance with David’s Law, Oglesby ISD is now using the Stop!t app to allow students/parents to anonymously report bulling. When an anonymous report is filed, the school will notify the parent of the student being bullied to discuss the problem and the options available. 

To report a case of bullying, click on the Stop!t logo and use the code Tigers#01  The app can also be downloaded on your mobile device. Go to your App Store and search for the Stop!t bullying app.

‚Äč2017 Accountability Rating

TEA just released the new accountability ratings for Texas schools and Oglesby ISD is rated as Met Standard. To view the scores for the four indexes, click here.

District of Innovation Plan 

OISD is moving forward with the District of Innovation plan. The plan will allow the district to obtain more flexibility in order to better meet the unique needs of the district, students, and community. The board adopted final plan can be viewed here
