Athletics Spirit Wear Fundraiser

The athletic department is selling Tiger spirit wear to raise money to help pay for all the new uniforms that were purchased. You can order directly from one of our athletes or place your order online and pay by credit card.

Picture Day

Mark Your Calendars—Tuesday, October 16th is School Picture Day

Fall school pictures will be taken for all students on Tuesday, October 16th. Flyers were sent home with the students last week. Pictures can be purchased online prior to picture day, ordered the day of pictures, or can be ordered when proof come in a few weeks later.

In addition to school pictures, we will also be taking fall sports pictures. Those will include HS & JH volleyball, HS & JH football, HS & JH cheer, flag corp, and HS & JH cross country. Individual and team photos of all participating athletes will be taken. As with the fall school pictures, flyers were sent home this week and those pictures can be purchased online prior to picture day, ordered the day of pictures, or can be ordered when proof come in a few weeks later.

Fall Festival is Friday, October 19th 

The annual fall festival/carnival will now be held on Friday, October 19th from 6:00-8:00 pm.Fall Festival

Most of the booths will be located outside the gym and in the commons area. The cake walk will be located in the cafeteria. All booths will operate on tickets, which can be purchased in the cafeteria. Cost of the tickets will be $0.25 each. 

Some of the booths at the carnival will be pumpkin painting, kiddie train ride, football throw, ring toss, plinko, and much more!

Concession stand will be available during the carnival. Grilled hamburgers, chips, candy and drinks will be available to purchase. The concession stand will take cash, no tickets.

Stop Bullying/Cyberbullying

StopIt Bullying LinkIn compliance with David’s Law, Oglesby ISD is now using the Stop!t app to allow students/parents to anonymously report bulling. When an anonymous report is filed, the school will notify the parent of the student being bullied to discuss the problem and the options available.

TEA just released the new accountability ratings for Texas schools and Oglesby ISD is rated as Met Standard. To view the scores for the four indexes, click here.


District of Innovation Plan 

OISD is moving forward with the District of Innovation plan. The plan will allow the district to obtain more flexibility in order to better meet the unique needs of the district, students, and community. The board adopted final plan can be viewed here
