ECG (EKG) Screening for Athletes

ECG (EKG) Screening for Athletes Students in grades 5-12 who play sports or plan on playing sports next school year will have an opportunity to receive a free ECG (EKG) screening at the school on May 12th. Right now, this screening is not a requirement but there is a legislative proposal to make it a requirement by next school year.

If your child participates in the screening offered at school, the cost (normally $15) will be covered by the Cody Stephens Foundation. Afterwards, parents will have to pay for the screening themselves.

Consent forms are required for the test and must be turned in to the school by May 11th. (Please see the letter sent home with students for detailed information.)
May 15th Will Be Regular School Day
Due to missing school on Thursday, March 5th because of inclement weather, May 15 will now be a regular school day.
2013-14 Yearbooks are Still Available
There is a limited number of yearbooks still available for purchase on a first come basis. Cost is $30 each. See Ms. Hoehn to purchase.
School Breakfast

School Breakfast This school year, breakfast will be served to all students free of charge! It has been proven that a student who eats breakfast performs better throughout the day. As a step to continue to improve learning, we will be offering this service to all students. Elementary will report to the classroom as they arrive for school. The students teacher will walk them to the cafeteria at 7:55am for breakfast. JH/HS students will report to the gym bleachers first thing in the morning and onto class at 7:55am as the first bell rings. JH/HS students will be served breakfast at the beginning of 1st period in the classroom. The school bells will be set accordingly. Please keep in mind this could affect bus pick up times. Please allow a day or so to work out the kinks. Any questions, please call the school.
